Get Away With The Duo

Fly By Midnight

July 6, 2018

Justin Bryte and Justin Slaven are the retro duo of Fly By Midnight. Both are from Staten Island and they are back with their latest single "All The Feels". Like many of their songs, the single was created during a midnight session with inspiration from Spotify playlist that gives them the feels. Something all of us can relate, right?

The new single is sure to be one of the feel-good anthems of the summer. You can't help but bop to the song and let your emotions run through you while listening to it.

Sarah McDaniel

Through her eyes....

Sarah McDaniel

June 25, 2018

Taking time from her busy schedule, Sarah drove to Hollywood to have a chat with me. We talked about her glow up, blow up, and her future projects.

A California native herself, Sarah McDaniel blew up on the scene through her down to earth personality and girl next door charm. With such a striking face and gorgeous features, you can't help but feel lost in her eyes. She was born with heterochromia iridum, her right eye being brown and her left eye being blue. A "flaw" which makes her unique, something which has not always been the case; when she was younger, she was made fun of for being "different".

Sarah has appeared in music videos for  Mark Ronson and G-Eazy and surely became recognizable and left an impression on one of the photographers on set. Sarah later scored her first magazine cover with Playboy, she was the cover girl for their first non-nude issue of March 2016.

“I really have respect for people that go through the same thing...”

What is next for this supermodel in the making? Besides being a model, actress, and content creator, she is also a "cannapreneur", a Cannabis entrepreneur. With the recent legalization of cannabis in Southern California, there’s no question the industry is booming and a new wave of entrepreneurs are emerging.

Growing up,  Sarah used to struggle with acne and eczema.  As a model, this affected her confidence and ability to book modelling gigs. Like most of us who grew up with acne, she tried Accutane, acne medications and other fads with no results. She began to look for other solutions that were best suited for her. She began to experiment with CBD oils along with other oils. After many trial and errors, Sarah found the solution to help clear her acne and eczema and is currently working on her skincare line, Walagoot. She hopes her knowledge of CBD oil can be used to help others medically.

In 2017, Sarah starred in Edouard Pluvieux's forthcoming series "Super High", starring alongside Kev Adams and DeStorm. She made her film debut in “Perfect" alongside Eddie Alcazar. This summer, you can catch her in "The Row" with Matty Beckerman.

On top of that, she is keeping busy creating content on her Instagram. You can follow her @krotchy.

Jordan

What He's Fighting For

Jordan Taylor Wright

May 4, 2018

With over 800K followers and subscribers on social media, Jordan has made quite a name for himself within the industry. You may know him from, The Chainsmokers, record-breaking lyric video for "Closer". With over 2.0B views on youtube, it is the most viewed lyric video of all time.

Besides being in front of the camera, Jordan is a visual photographer, filmmaker, and editor. He is the Creator and CEO of a Creative Agency & Production Company called Taylor Cut Films.  With a busy traveling schedule and creating his next film (we will get to that later), Jordan made the time to meet up with me in Hollywood; outside of following him on his breathtaking and inspiring feed on Instagram, this was a meet up to remember.

"So spirituality comes in the essence of who we are or the conscious observer behind the thoughts of who we are"

With a huge platform on social media, Jordan is seen as a public figure due to his huge following. With that, he is very open about being spiritual and understanding how you deal things as opposed to what society tells you to do. "The path of spirituality it came from wanting to understand more about who we all are as humans and as beings and removing my thoughts from my day-to-day living". Having studied psychology when he was younger helped him view things differently and getting down to the root of the situation rather than letting it settle inside of you. "So spirituality comes in the essence of who we are or the conscious observer behind the thoughts of who we are".

During our conversion, (which at this point does not feel like an interview anymore to which I am glad) I wanted to know who Jordan Taylor Wright is outside of social media. In this time and age, the persona that you put on social media does not necessarily reflect who you are outside of it. I enjoyed hearing about Jordan's fearless views on society, his path in life, and being enlightened.

The word "creativity" often came up in between our conversation. I was curious to know where he draws all those ideas and posts from.  "I often say a singer doesn't think about singing they let it flow through them. Same with a dancer, write or painter, editor and cinematographer you're just letting the vision channel through you."

One of the most astounding parts of him in becoming such a great filmmaker is his ability to tell a story and let his vision comes to life and use the power of storytelling with words and visuals combined to create emotions inside of people to react.

"I often say a singer doesn't think about singing they let it flow through them. Same with a dancer, write or painter, editor and cinematographer you're just letting the vision channel through you."

After our conversation, Jordan is off for a trip to Alaska to continue filming his first full-length feature film. With his creativity and compelling details to writing and stunning visuals, you know you will be in for a magical ride.
